From comfortable sweaters to lipsticks that enhance your complexion, the creative director of Rouje teaches you how to perfectly control the fashionable French style during pregnancy.

Few people can perform modern French fashion so perfectly like Jeanne Damas. The 28-year-old entrepreneur and creative director of Rouje successfully injected her love for lazy retro style into the entire collection of the brand. In August, she shared the good news of pregnancy with fans around the world[1]. In the photo, she wore a romantic satin camisole dress with a soft Mediterranean sky in the background.

Since being pregnant, the Parisian fashion blogger has shared the fun of dressing during pregnancy and the ups and downs of pregnancy (such as back pain) with fans on social media. As for how to wear a "beautiful new curve" with a sense of fashion, Damas has her own tricks-pay attention to her unbuttoned cardigan (belt just above the pregnant belly), polka dot dress and high waist tea break dress Red knit tights).

Below, Jeanne Damas will teach you how to wear French fashion during pregnancy (especially when you have done prenatal yoga and are too lazy to undress).

Congratulations first! We have always admired your style. Now let’s talk about your clothes during pregnancy. The popularity is really high. How did you adjust your dressing style during pregnancy?

"My golden rule is to be proud of my body and beautiful new curves. I insist on wearing stretch fabrics and emphasize the pregnancy curve instead of hiding it in fat clothes. Wrap skirts in summer and knits in winter Skirts are a must-have item in my wardrobe. They are all suitable for pregnancy. The only thing I can’t wear is jeans. I usually don’t have jeans, so this is the biggest difference from usual. In addition, I’m pregnant. After seven months, I would have back pain, so I had to replace my favorite high-heeled and ankle boots with sneakers."

What are the three items you wear most often?

"Wool tights are used for stacking, knitted skirts and New Balance sneakers."

Can you share a winter outfit that will never go wrong?

"I like the style of the 1980s—a long knitted sweater or cardigan on the upper body, with a belt, and boots with a small heel, paired with contrasting colors or printed wool leggings. For outerwear, I usually choose Parker A coat or trench coat completes the retro style."

What do you wear at work?

"Frankly speaking, I like to wear yoga clothes to work and be as comfortable as possible. I even use exercise balls instead of ordinary office chairs. This is the secret to avoiding back pain, sciatica and acid reflux.

The party season is here, what does your evening look look like?

"The elastic material that is friendly to the body curve is best for pregnancy evening wear. We designed a Lurex sequin dress for the holiday collection. I can't wait to wear it, with a big belly, as a giant disco ball [laughs]."

What is the biggest problem facing wearing during pregnancy?

"You can't wear vintage jeans, that's my second skin. It's really hard to do, but I don't like to wear maternity jeans-knit leggings come in handy."

Before letting you go, let us see what's in your bag. What is your favorite beauty product now?

"Because I have to wear a mask, I barely put anything on my skin except lipstick (Rouje's Chaleur lipstick tray). I always wear lipstick, mainly for my own happiness-it can instantly brighten the skin."

Do you have any suggestions for health care during pregnancy?

"The Nuxe spa in Paris offers hydromassage and the results are great. It is also a good choice to have your partner do a foot massage for you. If you have to stop fitness like me, try taking prenatal yoga classes twice a week— —Stretching and calming are really beneficial to people."
